BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Sussex (W)

The dial stands on an elegant 18th century pedestal, probably the original and probably Portland stone. Roman hour numerals read from the outside, for 5am to 7pm. The gnomon was reconstructed by Messrs Plowden & Smith, 1987 from a design by C St J H Daniel. Ref: Clocks magazine, Jan 1993, p 47.
