BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Martin Tower, Tower Hamlets

Gold incised lettering and numerals on white Portland stone ground. Sun burst at gnomon root. Rod gnomon with two angled supporters. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours and half hours. Half hours marked by dots in chapter ring. Makers names and date at top in small letters. Restored C Daniel, Plowden & Smith. Ref: Clocks Magazine, 15,8, Jan 1993, p47.
