BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial Cottage, Harrow

This is a horizontal dial with the gnomon missing, set vertically into brick-work on the eastern side of the house. Hours are read as from the south, with VI - XII, followed by XIII and XIV, but no further afternoon hour numerals are visible. Declination lines are drawn as straight line segments, and are labled with zodiac signs. Full length hour lines with a noon gap. An elaborate celestial serpent or serpents wind across the plate and there are other figures south of the VI - VI line, probably including the sun symbol but otherwise now illegible. At the lower right-hand edge is inscribed: 51° 28’
