BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial is in the gravelled area to the front of the house, set on a wonderful embossed cylindrical pedestal (no capital) with two step circular plinth. It has a 32-point compass rose, a Gregorian EoT ring (Clock faster/slower for all days), and the latitude. It shows 4am to 8pm using Roman numerals read from outside the dial, and subdivided to 30, 15, 10, 5 and 1 min marks. Half hours are marked by a nested double diamond.
