BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Somerset

The dial is set on the front wall of the house about 3000 above ground level, and 150 proud of the wall. At the top is inscribed ’Robert Penny / 1734’. It shows 6am to 6pm in whole hours only, with Roman numerals using ’+’ for noon and IIII for 4pm.
