BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dumfries & Galloway

Circular horizontal engraved on square plate. Ring beyond hour numerals has has names of various places round the world, and beyond, the EOT, dates and months. Four subsidiary dials in the corners give the time for New York, Malabar, New Zealand and ?? Engraved with name of maker, Latitude 55 30, and various mottoes. Low sandstone table and pedestal.
