BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Killerton House [NT] (3), Broadclyst

This bronze armillary sphere is a memorial to Sir Richard Acland who died in 1990. On the equatorial ring the hours from 6am to 7pm are shown undivided. The dial which is about 500mm in diameter is mounted on a bell-shaped bronze support standing on a stone block.
