BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

John Bowley House, Folkestone

The dial can be seen on the tower and the motto reads: "Gov- - - -is my job". Hours are shown from 8am to 6pm in half hours. It has an ornate surface mounted gnomon with scroll supporter, however the gnomon is bent. The stone of the dialplate is spalling. This dial was originally on the old John Bowley Almshouses which were demolished in 1995.
