BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Nativity of St Mary, Week St Mary

For many years this slate dial on the porch served as a doorstep at the local rectory. If you can manage to see through the encrusted lichens it shows the hours VI to VI divided into halves and quarters. Little else is visible though it might once had carried a date. The gnomon obviously must be a replacement.
