BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Thomas’ Church, Lymington

Vertical dial high on the tower, overlooking the street, declining slightly east of south. Barely visible today on the central stone are lines in relief that appear to be a higher quality original dial, with traces of quarter hour marks in a chapter ring. Around it are crudely painted black hour and half hour lines and Roman hour numerals. They show 6am to 5pm, using XII at noon and IIII at 4pm. The rod gnomon with a single straight supporter is possibly modern, probably twentieth century. The church was covered in ivy for many years (certainly from 1869 to 1910) but the gnomon appears to visible in a photograph from the 1930s.
