BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

County Cross, Wilton

The dial is just south of the ruins of the old St Mary’s Church. Set on square section pillar on (lower) octagonal and (upper) cruciform two-level plinth. 9 possible scaphes on the South side; 7 on each of the E & W; and 5 on the N. Hole on N side is thought to be a drain hole and the large grooves on the North which appear to be lines may be the remnants of triangular scaphes. Remaining fragment of a gnomon is iron. O/A height is 3800. Cf Moccas dial SRN 2235. Ref: Pevsner. Ref: Henslow ’Ye Sundial Booke’, Foyle Ltd, London, 1935, p115.
