BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Saints’ Church, Cottenham

The dial is painted above the first step of the buttress at the south west corner of the tower. It is overlooked by a tree. The arched dial-plate is decorated with black furniture on the stone ground and with large gold half sun at top. The dial shows 7am to 5pm in quarter hours - no specific half hour markers - though with two chapter rings this may be the result of re-painting. The Roman numerals are aligned with the hour lines; noon is XII and 4pm is IV. There is a simple unsupported gnomon rod. Motto, below the dial, reads: "THE TIME IS SHORT".
