BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Hever Castle (1), Edenbridge

In the rose garden of Hever Castle is this important, intact Roman spherical dial with ?11 inscribed hour lines and with oblique lower front and gnomon slot. There are two (worn) lion supporters at the base and two rosette decorations on the top front. It is set upon an inscribed square section Roman pedestal. Believed not mentioned in Gibbs. Cleaned in 2011.
