BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Nottinghamshire

The dial is dated 1665. It has a pattern of four circles with a common tangent around the gnomon base. It shows 4am to 8pm in half hours, using XII and IIII and having a noon gap. The numerals are read from the inside. The gnomon has unusual side supporters and the western one seems loose. The dial is set on a pillar 1500h which bears the names of Richard Wright and Richard Birkit, Church Wardens, and the date 1736.
