BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Saling Hall, Braintree

Ornate armillary sphere dial with scroll work at junctions of the equatorial band and the other rings. Numerals now rather indistinct Ornate downward pointing arrow gnomon without nodus. Sphere surmounted by prancing winged horse. Set on elaborate square section vase-style pedestal with acanthus and grape décor and with square base.
