BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Almshouse, Cannington

Dial is on cupola on the roof of Almshouses next to the Post Office. Rod gnomon, no split noon. Noon is marked as XII and 4pm as IIII, thick semicircle around gnomon root. Declination 12 degrees E. Black lettering and lines on white ground. Shows 5am to 5pm in half hours. Date may be 1699 since that is the date of the weathervane or 1672 the date of the founding by Henry Rogers.
