BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John Lee Church, Acombe

This is a thick circular stone disc set into a stone pillar, standing inside church, on an old Roman altar. The rear edge of the triangular sheet iron gnomon is double scalloped. Roman numerals can just be seen but the time scales are not easy to make out. There is some edge damage at the noon point. The church was formerly known as St John of Beverley Church, and is not to be confused with the other of the same name in Haydon Bridge.
