BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is mounted above the south porch and is canted out on the east to face directly south. The motto in the arched top reads: ’Hora Pars Vitae’ (An hour is part of life). The gnomon springs from the bottom of a large sculpted sun face, and the date 1764 is inscribed across each side. The bold upright numerals are VI - XII - IV - XII, divided to half and quarter hours. All the furniture is black filled or painted. The blade gnomon has an’S’ shaped support. The dial was restored at some date subsequent to 1992, when the gnomon was missing and the stone badly eroded, but the condition was very good in February 2021. Ref: Mrs Gatty, 4th ed 1900, p 280
