BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

The dial is set on a tall tapering shaft on spreading octagonal steps. It is an octagonal block with eight octagonal faces, each with dials and inscriptions. A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland"
