BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dumfries & Galloway

The motto reads: "Nae man can teher time nor tide" [Letter from DK Ebdon 12.6.99]. Mk2 Type 2 Standard Model, serial #697. Badly stuck and corroded in July 1996. Shows 5am to 7pm in 2 min intervals.
