BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Hornel Museum (2) [NTFS], Kirkcudbright

Ballachulish slate dial restored by G R Higgs. Shows 4am to 8pm in 15 mins intervals. Split noon line, Uses IIII. Four hole fixing. Three time rings: Outer is numeral chapter ring, then quarters and then half hours. Dial plate is square with rounded corners the whole inset into a square stone capital and undercapital, mounted on a conical pedestal set on a square block base. The dial is overshadowed by trees.
