BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

House of Dun [NTS], Montrose

The dial is erected at the front of the house above the ha-ha. It is set in a stone table mounted on a moulded column on a step, all stages octagonal. It is inscribed ’Alx Brand in the Mint Edinburgh 1727. Mr David Erskine of Dun, one of ye Lords of Session and Justiciary 1723’.
