BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is to be found in the Knot Garden and is mounted on an octagonal stone table on a vase-shaped baluster and square stone base, about 1200 high. The dial plate is inscribed ’Lord Gardenstoun, founder of the village of Laurencekirk 1769. Made by L. Cahill 1787’. It has 6 circles outside the Roman hour numerals, the outer with minutes, the others blank. There are three circles with months inside the numerals - two have a calendar and EOT but the remaining one is illegible. Better photograph of the dial plate requested.
