BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (W)

The plinth head carries the mottoes: SE side: ’E TAP EPXETAI’ (Greek erketai nux); SW side: ’ORA ET LAB(ora); NW side: ’WASTE NO TIME’; NE side: ’WASTE NO TIME’ . Dr A R Somerville noted this dial as at ’the House of Mercy’.
