BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The motto reads: "Sunny Hours". The dial is believed by the owner to have originated in Scotland, but the gnomon angle is 51 degrees. The dial plate (only) has reduced patina after use by the owner to feed bread to birds!
