BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of Sts Peter & Paul, Preston

Free standing on the ridge of the porch roof and canted out slightly on the left hand side. Shows 6am to 6pm in naïvely carved Arabic hour numerals, with no hour lines or divisions. Extended ’S’ decoration across the centre of the straight gnomon supporter. No hour lines. Churches of Rutland Vol 2 in Rutland series, Spiegel Press
