BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Edmund over porch, Egleton nr Oakham

Pentagonal (i.e. pedimented) dialplate with edges of chapter ring going off the top as if the plate has been cut back to fit perhaps when the porch rebuilt in 1872. Copper alloy gnomon replaced recently (Oct 2002) but with the root too low. Sunburst around gnomon root. Shows 7am to 5pm in half and quarter hours. Half hour lines have diamond terminators.
