BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

This is a ball dial mounted on a tripod of curled iron legs set into a curling stone on a stone block, overall height about 750. It has hour lines marked on a central equatorial band only, with clear Arabic numerals. There are metal plates at the four cardinal points with short gnomons. A solid metal rod mounted vertically is cast as a bird.
