BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dumfries & Galloway

The dial cube stands on another similar unmarked block, on two slightly wider narrower blocks. There is an ogee moulded stone on top with a long bent iron rod. There are only traces of vertical dials present, and no gnomons. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p 37 (C10).
