BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh

Facetted block about 24" x 18" wide, with horizontal top with dial; very wide south polar hemi-cylinder, polar dial below; two adjacent mirror-image verticals on north face, small circular equatorial below; various-shaped hollows E & W; hour lines & numerals clear; octagonal section below carved from same block with 8 vertical dials. The stone is very much blackened with soot and very worn. Said to have been indoors for past 50 years and acquired from stonemason’s yard in Portobello.
