The dial is located in the rose garden. It is of the heliochronometer type and is engraved with a 32-point compass rose, and local places of interest. It also has an attached plate engraved ’J H Steward / 66, Strand, London’. The dial exhibits signs of significant wear due to over use. The dial plate shows time markings from 5am to 7pm in 2 min intervals using Arabic numerals. The dial is mounted on a large bronze plate 750mm in diameter on top of a large square section baluster pedestal.
