BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial face itself is oxidised and hard to read, but the sundial is well worth a visit since it incorporates as supporter the statue of a kneeling ’young blackamoor’ by Andries Carpentiere. There are several other crouching male figure plinths in different parts of the country and this one is believed to be one of a set of five. The metal dial face, dated 1721, has a compass rose and an EOT scale. It has Roman hour numerals with transversals for minutes and shows noon times at several world locations. The gnomon is pierced and very ornate. Ref Bulletin 97.1, Jan 1997, p 34, Roger Bowling ’Sundial Supporters, Part 1’.
