BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
A memorial dial with compass rose, sun figure and motto: "All time is no time when time is past, make time while time lasts". Mounted on a massive rough granite block approx 1000 high. The dial is sloped down to the S - designed for 50 N latitude, set up at 55 N.
