BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Village Green, Adderley

Cube dial with four faces. North face shows 4am to 8am and 4pm to 8pm in hours. Numerals are read from inside the (square) chapter ring. Some Roman numerals are reversed on the N face (IV for 6am; IIV for 7am and IIIV for 8am). They are strangely ’correct’ for pm. Surfaces are badly pocked and the West face is only detectable as a dial by the gnomon holes. Mounted on a square chamfered edge sandstone shaft on two step base and surmounted by a stone ball.
