BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Five Elms PH, Weedon

East-facing vertical scaphe dial to the left of the door of the pub, under the eaves. The dial has leaf ornament around the edge and zigzags at poles. The time scale across the centre shows 4am to 11am in half and quarter hours. The gnomon is a straight bar across the diameter of the dial. There is an arched iron bar over it with five iron elm tree designs. Its purpose is unclear. Note that there is another notable sundial just round the corner in Aston Abbotts Road on the wall of a house.
