BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bateman’s [NT] TH19 7DS, Burwash

Aligned Arabic numerals read from outside; hour and half-hour marks, and simple 4-point compass. Slender bulbous pedestal approx 1070 high, with mount stone approx 230 square. Motto ’It is later than you think’ around the sides of the mount stone.
