BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lancashire

The weathered sandstone base of this dial is dated 1686, with the initials of the vicar and churchwardens on the four sides. It rests upon an old millstone, to the west of the church porch. The sundial has a plate dated 1707 but appears to be a 20th century copy. Its motto reads: "Tempus Fugit Irreparibile 1707".
