BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Tayside Region

The dial stands on an octagonal block on a cylindrical pillar, probably an old garden roller. It may be an old finial which has been turned upside down and then marked as a dial. It is a single stone block cut into two cubes at 45° to each other, each with rounded lower edges, and a smaller octagonal section below. The cubes are marked as dials with gnomon holes. The upper cube faces cardinal points and is larger than the lower. There is a loose ball on the top.
