BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

The dial stands on a vase-shaped plinth carved with animal heads and swathes of fruit on four octagonal steps. It is an octagonal drum with two rows of vertical faces: four dials N, S, E and W alterating with inscriptions and shields. The south gnomon is incorrect. There is an obelisk finial mounted on four balls above a carved capital.
