BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dumfries & Galloway

The date is marked on the south face. Initials read: W Mg & MD on the north face. Five dials, N, S, E, W and top, the top dial is circular. All side face dials have the block cut away vertically below each corner so each dial is only 200 across. Solid brass gnomons. The north gnomon is upside down. Mounted on a plain narrow, cylindrical granite shaft about 1000h on two small square steps.
