BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

Octagonal block with 24 facets and horizontal on top. Bowl hollows N, S, E and W with square reclining and inclining faces above and below. Small square verticals on alternate facets with hexagonal reclining and inclining facets above and below. Dials on all available surfaces. Hour lines and numerals mostly clear, but all gnomons missing. The dial was excavated in the grounds of the school c 1978, and set up on a stone wall near the Junior School. Now (2013) it is in the centre of a small courtyard of the Junior School.
