BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

The dial is an eight sided block with eight vertical facets, and a horizontal dial on top, but the vertical dials on the sides have eroded away and the gnomon of the horizontal is reduced to a stud. It is set on a fluted cylindrical column with a fluted capital carrying the dial block. The house was the home of ex MP Wllie Whitelaw.
