BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Duthie Park, Aberdeen

The dial is in the Winter Gardens. Cube with hemispherical scaphe dials and reclining surfaces above. Shows 3am to 9pm in hours. 215 diam Terminal ball with equatorial band of hour lines around it. Decorated pedestal with initials CG and GB, mortar & pestle and date. Several gnomons replaced - some wrongly. Ref: AR Somerville, The Ancient Sundials of Scotland 1994.
