BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

The dial is said to come from Pope’s villa at Twickenham. It stands on a cylindrical pillar about 2000 high with a stone circular seat around the base resting on four stone lions. The dial cube has four faces, N, S, E & W. It has a ball finial supported by four metal Atlas figures.
