BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Thirlestane Castle, Lauder

This large horizontal dial has curious lines. Only a few numerals are present. The gnomon has a nodus and there are 14 declination lines, possibly for special dates. There is also a vertical section to the gnomon sitting on the equinoctial line, but there is no second set of hour lines as in an Oughtred dial.
