BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Shielhill Bridge, Kirriemuir

A circular stone dial mounted on the outer side of the eastern side of the bridge parapet. Numerals read from inside IIII - VIII, with full length hour lines.The date of 1770 is on the western (road) side. The dial is mounted on a short circular section pillar supported by a corbel carved with the head of a water kelpie.
