BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

The dial is set on a cubic block mounted on top of the wall of the Walled Garden, about 1800 high overall. The dial cube has two dial faces, north and south. It has an obelisk finial sitting on four four stone balls held together in an iron frame. The illustration from Ross may be of this dial thought it does not quite accord with the reported description. Ref: Drawing from Ross, Ancient Sundials of Scotland, possibly of this dial.
