BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dumfries & Galloway

This P&G Heliochronometer is in working order though very stiff. It stands on a plain cylindrical column about 1300 high and is kept under a bell jar for protection. There is no quadrant for latitude, and no gearing for turning the hour plate.
