BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church, Musselburgh

Upright hour numerals, Arabic on the left and top sides, Roman on the right and bottom. Hours 1 to 8, and I - IV - VIII, with full length hour lines only. Gnomon gap for 6pm. Light coloured sandstone dial plate with ogee moulded edges. Two corners chipped, and some rust staining. Good iron support brackets. (The former church, for which this dial was made, was demolished in 1803, and the present church replaced it.)
