BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial consists of four polar dials mounted around the circumference of a thick inclined stone plate, each the concave surface of a half cylinder with polar gnomon at the centre. The top surface carries an iron equatorial dial with noon lines for 4 cities, the gnomon missing. See sketch. Ref ’The Ancient Sundials of Scotland’, Somerville, Rogers Turner 1994, pp 256 and Main Listing B7.20. Sketch Charlotte Rostek, Curator, May 2010.
